Capital Markets Analyst

Opportunity Overview:

The ideal candidate for this position will work directly with the head of Capital Markets and cross-functionally with the Accounting team to prepare, package and sell specialty finance portfolios to investors and bank professionals. In this role, strong relationship, analytical and organizational experience is essential for success.  Experience in specialty finance markets, data management and loan accounting are essential for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development and management of loan sale strategies to maximize Company liquidity and profitability.
  • Management of Company loan portfolio presentation and market placement.
  • Model performance and make recommendations on Company product development in addressing market demand.
  • Review monthly portfolio servicing reports and discuss with loan servicing clients.
  • Responsible for generating ad-hoc analysis related to company performance and portfolio management.
  • Manage business relationships with loan sales partners.

Knowledge/Skills/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college
  • 3-5 years of experience in Capital Markets Finance or related field.
  • Current participation in loan sales activities
  • Experience with U.S. specialty finance market
  • Experience in data management and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Customer Experience Associate

Opportunity Overview:

The ideal candidate will drive business culture from a reactive to a proactive “Customer Centric” culture focusing on transactions from the customer’s point of view and making decisions / recommendations as needed.

Assist in identifying, analyzing, and reporting customer churn signs and incorporating change to drive superior customer experience and increase customer retention.

Duties and Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Evaluate, identify and propose upgrades to the customer experience. Customer portal, website, Faq, other.
  • Improve on-line customer reviews where possible, capitalize and drive positive feedback from internal calls with customers and CPP Team in order to enhance employer brand.
  • Consider ways to partner with VP of Operations and Head of HR to align organizational goals to promoting and facilitating a “culture of customer service”.
  • Point person for customer inquiries responding to all phone calls and emails within 24 hours. Requests include: payment due dates, updating bank account information, loan maturity dates, payment histories, paid in full letters, original agreements etc.
  • Produce payoffs.
  • Provide loan account information to internal departments (docs, broker relations etc.).
  • Process return mail and update addresses.
  • Provide credit references as requested.
  • Prepare monthly invoices.

INSURANCE

  • Manage insurance inbox, requesting corrected documentation and explaining requirements.
  • Handle all insurance related phone calls.
  • Escalate appropriate insurance refund requests to a manager for review, adding approved refunds to tracker and processing at the end of the month.
  • Manage total loss process by coordinating with borrower and insurance company to obtain payoff and release title.
  • Process incoming insurance mail.
  • Developing and managing a system generated tracking report to identify lapsed insurance policies.
  • Proactively working with insurance agencies to obtain updated binders.
  • Identify high risk accounts where forced place insurance should be obtained and manage this process.

END OF TERM

  • Process UCC3 terminations for paid in full accounts within 30 days of payoff.
  • Process UCC3 terminations for bank sales requests and request original documents be returned from the custodian within 48 hours of loan sale notification.
  • Process lien release requests for paid in full accounts within 30 days of payoff.

PROJECT WORK

  • Assist IT and management with the design, implementation and testing of our new loan invoices. Identify any gaps between our current invoicing and proposed invoicing process and make recommendation to improve the invoicing process from a customer’s perspective.
  • Work closely with IT and management to ensure required data points for customer service activities are identified/available in LeaseWorks.
  • Work with IT in developing and testing an automated solution for standard payoff requests.

Associate General Counsel

As a key member of the Blue Bridge Financial Executive team, the Associate General Counsel should be a bright, energetic, business-minded and self-motivated transactional attorney with 3-5 years of general corporate, commercial, M&A, and transactional experience, preferably in-house.  In this position, the successful candidate will interface with our senior executive team and business teams to execute on the organization’s strategic priorities.

This position will report directly to, and work closely with, the Chief Executive Officer to provide general corporate counseling to the Company’s corporate functions, commercial counseling to the Company’ business operations, litigation management.

The position is based at the corporate headquarters in Reston, Virginia but will require travel as necessary in connection with duties.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Collections Activities:

  • Lead company pursuit of settlement of delinquent accounts, including complaint drafting, coordination of court activity, and negotiation of settlements.
  • Recommendation to senior management on account collection activities.
  • Management of national network of external counsel composition and activities.
  • Communication with investors on collection activities.

General Litigation:

  • Manage all Company litigation activities under guidance from executive management.

 

Commercial Contracts and Contract Management:

  • Draft, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, including loan sale and servicing, IT (including licensing), and other general matters.
  • Serve on the leadership team, providing counsel to the company.
  • Lead the company’s contract lifecycle management system, including development and updates to commercial contract templates.

Legal Operations:

  • Lead Legal Operations initiatives, including in the areas of budgeting, business continuity planning, training, technology solutions, and other areas.
  • Oversee Company Compliance with applicable rules and regulations, including licensure and usury requirements.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in other substantive legal areas.

 

Successful Candidate Requirements
·         BA/BS and JD Degrees required from an accredited institution
·         2-3 years of law firm and/or significant in-house experience
·         Member of at least one state bar; in VA, NY or CA
·         Ability to work and interact with corporate management and others at all levels
·         Demonstrated broad business orientation and ability to aggressively establish instant credibility as an imaginative, resourceful, and insightful attorney and business partner with cross-functional perspective
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills
·         Extensive commercial and transactional experience
