Senior Collections Specialist

Opportunity Overview:

Can you navigate a debt collection call into a successful outcome while maintaining the patience of a Saint? Do you like to collaborate daily with others to achieve group successes and company growth? Well, Blue Bridge Financial has an opportunity for you to apply your stellar customer service and collaboration skills on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate for this role is primarily responsible for the oversight of the performance of the Company’s held and serviced loan portfolios. This position is responsible for monitoring loan portfolio performance and ensuring any delinquent accounts are addressed in a timely, effective, and regulatory compliant fashion.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage efficiently collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast paced goal oriented collections department.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and deal tactfully with customers.
  • Immediately address past due accounts with borrowers to develop remediation strategies.
  • Work closely with accounts, making contact with customers as required at time of default in order to rectify any delinquencies in a timely manner.
  • Use independent judgment to make collection calls following company procedures and Credit Policy and providing recommendations to management as to the course of action to remedy delinquent accounts.
  • Participate in regular meetings regarding current and emerging issues concerning asset quality.
  • Coordinate the referral of accounts requiring legal action to counsel and maintain regular interface in regards to strategy and status.
  • Review concerns and extraordinary exceptions in a timely manner and brings them to the attention of management.
  • Review loan portfolio performance on a daily basis, with required monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Analyze collateral to estimate potential losses or recoveries.
  • Communication with loan-servicing Banks on suggested collection actions for their approval.
  • Coordinate asset recovery and liquidation with third-party vendors.
  • Develop a continuous monitoring system for currently performing loans.
  • Knowledge of debt collection practices, bankruptcy laws, financial institution collection regulations and procedures.
  • Review and analyze daily aging reports, evaluate status of accounts.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all customer or potential customer information in accordance with internal policies and procedures and federal rules and regulations.
  • Whenever necessary perform backup departmental duties as assigned.
  • Have expert knowledge of and follow all Company policies and procedures.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Education:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and telephone skills.

Credit Manager

Opportunity Overview:

Are you a master of credit analysis who counts FICO and PayNet scores in your sleep? Can you calculate an interest rate in your head while reciting the alphabet backwards? Does your car have a bumper sticker that reads “I brake for balance sheets?” Do you like to collaborate daily with others to achieve group successes and company growth?

The ideal candidate for this position will work with outside originators and credit analysts to process business loan applications and determine credit risk and worthiness. In this fast paced position, accuracy and consistency is essential while overseeing multiple credit submissions daily. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for both the internal and external communication required for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Approve and deny loans within lending authority and recommends approval of loans on an exception basis within 4 hours of receipt.
  • Work with outside originators to promote and solicit loans meeting the Company’s stated credit criteria.
  • Management of all Company loan programs.
  • Notify preferred originator of credit submission status within 4 hours of submission.
  • Analyze financial statements for businesses and complete cash flow analysis and due diligence on both the business and all owners.
  • Complete due diligence on each loan originator and vendors for senior management approval in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Periodic reporting of activity and results to Company management.
  • Make credit recommendations to senior management based on credit review performed, within delegated authority levels.
  • Prepare loan documents in accordance with senior management approval terms and conditions.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all customer or potential customer information in accordance with internal policies and procedures and federal rules and regulations.
  • Work with collections department when necessary to resolve delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain the loan origination system daily including any follow-up required on each credit file.
  • Assist loan management in preparing its loan funding or loan modification approval memorandums.
  • Oversee all aspects of Company Titled Vehicle Programs.
  • Management of Company Preferred Broker Program.
  • Maintain tickler systems to track required loan documents such as borrower and/or projected financials, tax returns, insurance renewal dates, UCC filings, continuations and expirations, and other ongoing collateral perfection tasks.
  • Maintain and manage credit underwriting information in accordance with internal policies and procedures within the loan origination database.
  • Answer incoming office phone calls and send calls to appropriate party.
  • Assist loan management in preparation of periodic reports.
  • Have expert knowledge of and follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the annual review of loan vendor contracts and the evaluation of third party servicing performance.
  • Assist in development of marketing programs and follow up on such.
  • Whenever necessary perform backup departmental duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or experience equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in small business/commercial loan underwriting function with lending authority.
  • Strong communication skills.

Broker Sales Executive

Opportunity Overview:

We are expanding our broker division and are seeking highly motivated, qualified and experienced broker representatives to develop business relationships. Founded in 2009, Blue Bridge Financial is a fast growing funding source for third party originators and finance brokers; we were recently rated #1 fastest growing small business in Western NY! We will provide industry training and support to those willing to learn and apply new knowledge of specialty financing.

Through this opportunity, you will responsible for maintaining business relations and providing support to existing broker accounts. You will also be tasked with strengthening communications with low volume accounts to encourage increased business activity. Qualified applicants will be willing to work with a broker through all stages of the process, including document requests, preparation and discussion of contract terms and rates. Support will be provided to maximize your opportunities in a team-based approach to the process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with our existing broker network
  • Educate brokers on new and existing finance products, terms and requirements
  • Work closely with low volume brokers to identify new opportunities for business
  • Collect useful information on the alternative finance marketplace and industry trends to identify opportunities for program improvements and growth
  • Conduct contract and rate negotiation as needed
  • Provide a high level of customer service through all stages of the sales process
  • Maintain complete record keeping of all communication with broker accounts
  • Be self-motivated to schedule and track follow-up calls with your accounts to encourage increased business activity

Required Skills:

  • Previous inside sales experience sales experience, or customer relations
  • Effective multitasking/problem solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for phone, email communication and record keeping
  • Effective time management and strong analytical skills are a must
  • A results-oriented sales professional with a successful track record able to accomplish clearly defined goals and objectives
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, determined, ambitious, and a “team player”
